Answers to the stuff people actually ask. If yours isn't here, get in touch — we're not hard to find.

Subscriptions

Simple. Pick your coffee, choose your frequency, and we'll deliver it to your door like clockwork. Bags come in 250g (available as whole beans or ground) or 1kg (whole beans only). No contracts, no commitments, no awkward phone calls to cancel.

That's up to you. When you set up your subscription, you choose how often you'd like your coffee delivered. Whether that's every week, every fortnight, or once a month — pick whatever suits your routine. You can change the frequency any time through your account.

Of course. Life happens. You can swap to a different batch, skip a delivery, or pause your subscription any time through your account. No penalties, no questions asked.

Yes. No minimum commitment, no cancellation fees, no passive-aggressive emails asking why you're leaving. If it's not for you, cancel in your account and that's that.

Go for it. You can add as many bags as you like to each delivery. Mix different batches, stock up on your favourite, whatever works for you. Delivery fees stay the same on orders up to 2.4kg, so there's no penalty for ordering more.

Orders & One-Off Purchases

Both. Subscriptions are the easiest way to keep your supply topped up, but if you just want to try a bag without committing, one-off purchases are available on every product. No pressure.

Yes. One-off orders can include as many bags as you like. Mix and match different batches, try a few single origins — go wild.

Every batch on the site has a straightforward description of what it tastes like and what it's best suited for. Batch No. 01 and No. 02 are our blends — good all-rounders, especially for espresso. Batch No. 03 onwards are single origins, worth exploring if you're into filter or AeroPress. Batch No. 06 and No. 07 are our decaf and half-caf options, for when you want the ritual without the rocket fuel. Still stuck? Drop us a message and we'll point you in the right direction.

Shipping & Delivery

We ship anywhere within the United Kingdom — England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We don't currently ship outside the UK. We know that's a pain if you're reading this from elsewhere, and we're sorry about that. If international shipping becomes an option in the future, we'll shout about it.

Delivery is £3.50 per order for anything up to 2.4kg. That's the same whether you're ordering one bag or several, so it makes sense to stock up if you're placing a one-off order.

Most orders arrive within 3–5 working days. We'll send you a tracking link once your order has been dispatched so you can keep an eye on it.

Get in touch and we'll sort it. Simple as that. We'll either track it down or send you a replacement. We're not in the business of leaving people without their coffee.

The Coffee

We work with experts — experienced UK roasters with a reputation for quality and consistency. Every batch is roasted to order, so you're getting fresh coffee, not something that's been sitting in a warehouse for months.

Yes. Your coffee is roasted close to the time of dispatch. We don't stockpile bags. Freshness is one of those things that genuinely affects how your coffee tastes, so we take it seriously.

Instead of giving our coffees elaborate names or tasting-note poetry, we use a simple numbering system. Batch No. 01 and No. 02 are our blends. Batch No. 03 onwards are single origins. Each batch page tells you exactly what's in it and what to expect. No guesswork.

Both. Every batch is available as whole beans or pre-ground. If you've got a grinder at home, we'd always recommend buying whole beans — you'll get a noticeably better cup. But pre-ground is there if you need it. No judgement.

Not at the moment. We're focused on beans and ground coffee for now. If that changes, you'll be the first to know.

Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. An airtight container is ideal. Don't put it in the fridge or freezer — coffee absorbs moisture and odours, and nobody wants their morning espresso tasting like last night's leftovers. Once opened, aim to use it within two to three weeks for the best flavour.

Payment & Account

All major credit and debit cards, plus any payment methods available through our checkout. Everything is processed securely.

You're charged when each delivery is processed, not upfront for multiple deliveries. So if you cancel or skip before the next billing date, you won't be charged.

Log into your account on our website. From there you can update your details, change your subscription, view order history, skip deliveries, or cancel. Everything's in one place.

General

Ground up. As in, built from the ground up. Also coffee. We didn't overthink it.

Two mates — Ferdie and Verster. Ferdie grew up in Colombia surrounded by coffee. Verster has spent his career building brands. We spotted a gap between pretentious craft coffee and forgettable supermarket bags, and thought there should be something in between. That's GRNDUP.
